What do you think of Jimmy Rollins’ hitting streak?
For those who don’t know, Jimmy Rollins hitting streak is over. He ended at 38 straight games without a hit.
How many of you wanted him to break the 56 game record held by Joe Dimagio?
Sad to say it is over. It was fun to watch and I wish he had broken the record. But even though he was 18 games away from the record, 18 games is HUGE on the tail end of that chase. If that record is ever broken, it will be a LONG time. Probably someone who won’t be born for a long time will eventually do it. That is a very tough record to break; I give him props for going 38. Had he continued it beyond today as the games got closer and closer to the Record 56 the pressure would have become really intense. I think it already was. In the long run, it is better for him and his team. Now he is out of the Limelight and can focus on what is most important, his team winning.
